Embrace a Never-Ending Summer in our Emerson 23
As we approach the tail end of the warm summer months, our newly-opened Emerson 23 on display at the Smiths Lane Estate, Clyde North, is the coastal Hamptons haven that you’ve been dreaming about.
The 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom METRO design provides home owners with a relaxing sanctuary during those long summer days and a place to come together during endless balmy nights.
Stepping through the entry, you’ll find a hallway flanked either side by a front lounge, master bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in robe, secondary bedrooms and a laundry (with handy side passage access) before it flows out to the kitchen, living and alfresco.
On-site Senior New Home Specialist, Ainsley Wasteney, mentions how this single-storey design is flexible to a wide range of home owners, with varying lifestyles and needs.
“The Emerson 23 is great for those just starting out, and those downsizing - even a popular option for those wanting a holiday home that’s practical, and easy to enjoy and maintain”, she says.
Across its 221.81m², the Emerson 23 is also “great value for money”, Wasteney notes; “The option of having either the lounge or the master at the front of the home at minimal cost is popular, while customers also enjoy the coastal Hamptons feel, as it’s so fresh and inviting”.

Get the Coastal Hamptons Look
With These Easy Steps
Known for embodying the upmarket sophistication of traditional beachfront holiday homes, the enduring charm of Hamptons style interiors has spread far and wide beyond the coastline of its native Long Island, New York.
And really, it’s no wonder why this trend has made waves Down Under. By echoing coastal influences, Hamptons design speaks to the way that Australians like to live - plenty of natural light, a breezy open plan and laid-back living, all year round.
While some might question whether Hamptons style design has had its moment in the sun, for many, its enduring charm will continue for the years to come, albeit with a handful of different intertwining influences, whether they be contemporary, coastal or rustic farmhouse, to name a few.
Get the flatlay look: Benchtop - Caesarstone in Adamina; cabinetry - Laminex in Calm White & Pearl Grey; splashback Tiles – National Tiles in Siena Bianco Satin & Aria Duck Egg Blue; flooring - Carpet Call in TrendTime 6 Oak Castell Limed & Allure Wool Gentle Wind; floor tile - National Tiles in Cava Borghini Satin & Burlington Stone Blanco Matt; external colours - Haymes Paint in Moon and Stars & Smoky Silhouette; roof - COLORBOND steel in Basalt.
For a refreshed, modern take on the traditional Hamptons palette of a fresh white base, vibrant blue hues, brass accents and white-washed linens, we’re seeing a shift towards more relaxed styling, with home owners looking to put their own stamp on the trend by featuring earthy textures that reflect the natural coastal elements of the sea, sky and sand.
At its heart, the real beauty of the Hamptons trend is that you don’t need to have prime waterfront views, or a sprawling, double-storey floor plan for the interiors to look right at home. Regardless of if you’re in the city, out in the country or by the coast, we all crave an inviting and relaxing space to welcome us home each night.
Inspired by our newly-opened display in the Smiths Lane Estate, Clyde North, two of our superstar Simonds Gallery Consultants, Kaela Turgeon and Casey Schmidt, have come together to create their own unique take on the ultimate Hamptons palette. They've incorporated elements found in our Emerson 23 display, along with hand-picked selections of their own, to give you a special look that evokes that sought-after coastal calm.
For the exterior, weatherboards, large windows and a gabled roof line with contrasting trim continue to remain a mainstay of any home looking to evoke coastal, Hamptons charm. While inside the home, a mixture of fresh whites, soft greys and muted blues come together against natural toned flooring to provide a laid-back feeling to the space.
For their unique take on a coastal Hamptons palette, Kaela and Casey blended contemporary influences with old-world style. Inspired by natural sandstone, Adamina from Caesarstone’s Whitelight Collection blends 3 shades of sand to provide an earthy complexion to your benchtops and connect your space to the golden stretches of the Australian coastline. While the Cava Borghini Satin and Siena Bianco Satin from National Tiles recreate a classic marble look for the bathrooms and splashbacks, giving a nod to the understated luxury of traditional Hamptons homes.
When it comes to styling, don’t be afraid to experiment with layering natural fabrics and textures alongside earthy elements such as wood and stone. A textured, oversized rug uplifts a space, especially when paired against an upholstered ottoman in a vibrant blue. While nautical stripes on a natural fabric are a playful way to inject a hint of pattern and colour without diving too far off into the deep end.
Last but not least, for final touches to your space, white orchids have been a mainstay on coffee, side and dining tables of Hamptons properties and they’re a great way to add a fresh romantic touch without going crazy with bursts of colour.
